Located in a quiet, panoramic spot, Villa Roberto is just five minutes by car (or 20 minutes on foot) from the center of one of the loveliest villages in Italy. Asolo has attracted many intellectuals and artists, including Robert Browning, Igor Stravinsky, Ernest Hemmingway and Eleonora Duse. Asolo is known for its wine, its fabrics and embroidery, hand-painted ceramics, and antique furniture (with an antiques fair on the second Sunday of each month).

This is a magical landscape of history, scenery, medieval walled towns and Palladian villas. Visit Treviso, Padova, and Vicenza. Wander the lovely boutiques and local artisan shops in Asolo. Excursions in the area are possible on foot, bicycle or horseback; and three golf courses are nearby. Villa Roberto is only an hour’s drive (51 minutes by train) from Venice.

Newly restored, the villa sits atop a hill and has been built to take full advantage of the exceptional views over the valley and of the fortress that is the symbol of Asolo. Villa Roberto is a wonderful combination of traditional and modern and is ideal for three couples. Although the villa is exceptionally well furnished, the overall feeling is one of comfort. Colors are soothing and there are many beautiful, artistic touches throughout the house. There are three double bedrooms (beds are 160 x 200 cm), each with its own spacious en suite bathroom. (Please note that the beds are two mattresses on one frame and can therefore be divided and fitted with single linens on request.)

A lovely terrace provides the perfect spot to relax or dine while enjoying the spectacular views of the valley. Outdoor lighting illuminates the property and the pool in the evenings.

Villa Roberto is built on three levels:

Ground floor:

• Large, inviting living room with working fireplace, comfortable seating; French doors open onto terrace
• Dining area with square table that seats 8
• Modern, spacious eat-in kitchen with dishwasher, microwave
• Guest bathroom

Second floor (16 steps):

• 1 double bedroom, en suite bathroom with shower
• 1 double bedroom
• 1 bathroom with shower
• Laundry room with washing machine

Third floor (15 steps):

• Master bedroom with direct access to private terrace and to rear upper garden, en suite bathroom with large Vicenza stone tub and separate shower

Grounds:

• Panoramic terrace furnished with lounge chairs and umbrellas
• Heated swimming pool (2 x 8 m) (not fenced)
• Parking for 2 cars

This twelve-acre estate is the perfect accommodation for guests who seek peace and privacy with easy access to a village. For safety reasons, young children (1-7 yrs) are not permitted (the pool is not gated).Villa Roberto is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties.
