This elegant stone farmouse, the home of a renowned Italian interior designer, is surrounded by woodlands and olive groves, offers glorious panoramic views of the Val d’Orcia. The location is conveniently central. Rome, Florence, Monte Argentario, Todi and Assis are 1 ½ hours away. Perugia and Siena are one hour. Arezzo, Lake Bolsena, Orvieto and Lake Trasimeno are just 40 minutes, and Cetona, Montepulciano and Pienza are just 15 minutes. Leave your car in Chiusi (25 minutes) and take a high-speed Eurostar train to Florence or Rome in a little over an hour. The closest village, Sarteano (10 km) has supermarkets, groceries, butcher, bakeries, wine shops, and bike rentals. And there are four spas within 20-30 minutes of the villa. L'Acero has been carefully restored, retaining many of its original rustic features, with contemporary furnishings and creature comforts added. Color washed walls give L'Acero a warm rustic feeling. The comfortable living room has an antique stone fireplace and doors opening onto terraces with gorgeous views over the valley. A study/TV room can become a comfortable single bedroom for an additional guest and has its own entrance and bathroom with tub and wall-mounted shower. A small laundry room has a washer and dryer. The large dining room has a fireplace and a large table that seats 16, with doors that open onto an al fresco dining area that seats 24 and overlooks the vegetable garden and heating swimming pool (13 x 4 meters). The large farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped, with hanging baskets, a large open fireplace, a dishwasher and ice maker.
