Le Marche is a rugged, mountainous area that gently rolls toward the sea, with mountain gorges, waterfalls and caves to explore. The coast is home to beaches that are just being discovered by foreigners, although Italians have known about them for years.
Villa Vittoria is an old-fashioned villa that is within walking distance of the charming medieval village of Santa Vittoria in Matenano, founded by the Farfa monks of the Benedictine Order in the 9th century. Just a short walk from restaurants, coffee bars, shops, and tennis courts, the villa is set in a quiet, private location, with a large garden and swimming pool.
Santa Vittoria sits on Monte Matenano, between the Adriatic Sea and the Sibylline Mountains National Park. Guests can enjoy walks in the mountains or at the beach resorts of Porto San Giorgio and Pedaso. Amandola, Ferno, Macerata, and the ski resorts of Sassotetto and Bolognola are within a short drive. The property is half an hour from the autostrada.
This tradional 18th-century villa is built on two floors. The owners occupy the ground floor and rent the upper floor, which has its own private entrance. Set on a hectare of beautiful grounds, the villa has a lovely terrace and a swimming pool (10 x 5 meters) that is used exclusively by guests.
