San Teodoro Penthouse is an ideal home base for anyone interested in the archeological treasures of Rome. In ancient times, the heart of Rome surrounded and included seven prominent
hills, the most famous of which is Capitolino. When Pope Paul III's requested that
Capitolino be transformed into a monumental civic square, Michelangelo designed
the striking Piazza del Campidoglio, an intricate marble courtyard completed after
the artist's death but according to his design. San Teodoro Penthouse occupies
a pleasant spot not far from the present-day Campodoglio.
From its perch
on the second and third floors of an intimate little apartment building, San Teodoro offers a splendid view of the Roman Forum. Parquet floors and a tasteful mix of antiques
