This charming villa, located along the shoreline of Lake Orta
within walking distance of the small village of Crabbia, offers guests an opportunity
to enjoy beauty and nature in a peaceful setting. Many water sports are available
in the area, including swimming, boating, water skiing, and scuba diving. There
are horseback riding stables nearby, as well as two golf courses; or you can just
sit back, take it easy, and enjoy the view.
Villa Ceramica
is above and overlooking the lake; it is not on the lake shore. A stepped path
leads from the villa down to the lakeshore road (about 150 meters).
The entrance to Villa Ceramica leads through a beautiful
garden into a courtyard.
On the ground floor there
is one double bedroom with en suite bathroom (with tub), and a storage/laundry
room with a washer and an extra refigerator.
A lovely staircase
leads to the second floor, surrounded on two sides by a balcony. This is the main
living area of the villa. The spacious, elegant living room has a fireplace, comfortable
furniture and large French doors. Satellite television and DVD player are now available. The kitchen is small but well-equipped, and
there is a breakfast room with a table for six. There is also a large bathroom
on this level, with a tub and beautiful antique mirror, as well as a study with
a collection of art and botanical books, and a double bedroom with en suite bath
(with tub) that can be accessed from the balcony. Across the balcony is a beautiful,
spacious patio with a dining table for ten,
and plenty of comfortable sofas and chairs.
The master bedroom is located on the third floor and has
a fireplace and a large en suite bathroom with both tub and stall shower. Windows
frame a view of the lake. A few steps up lead to a passage with a bed of 120 cm,
a nursery with crib, and a large mansard with twin beds (beds can not be joined).
Outside, a long path leads to the private dock and bathing
area.. At the bottom of the path, you must cross a road to reach the lake. Children
must be watched and helped across the road. In front of the crossing is a little
ferry launch and the gate to the dock. Please note that there are some steps here
that could be difficult for those with walking difficulties.
There are many possibilities to follow footpaths leading to the towns and villages
along the lake, and to the forest and the mountains.
From
October to May, there is a maximum of 6 guests permitted at Villa Ceramica.
